how you can help
We are only an organisation of volunteers, as are nearly all rescue groups. We do not employ paid lobbyists. We do not have the ear of the government.
We do not ask that you walk through a pound and see the eyes of these animals that are doomed to die under the present and proposed systems, but we do ask you to make this effort to contact the people who make these decisions. If enough of us do this, together we can make a difference.
We ask that you contact - telephone, write, email the Premier, The Minister Agriculture and Food Security, and your local politician, and ask them why the new draft is so unsatisfactory. Please download and read our Submission (pdf 704 KB) to the Bureau of Animal Welfare.

We have also attached a list of the members of DAMIC and AWAC and their positions. Are we alone in wondering why it is these people that are deciding the future of companion animals in our state for at least another decade?
This is such an opportunity to stop this slaughter. By sending a letter, emailing on to your friends, posting on Facebook, or joining with your friends the DRAV Facebook page, you have this unique opportunity to make a difference.
